The Center for Constitutional Rights in the United States filed a lawsuit against US President Joe Biden and his administration, on charges of supporting the “genocide” practiced by Israel against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
The Center for Human Rights Activities (CCR), which is based in the United States, filed the judicial complaint on behalf of Palestinian civil society figures and organizations.
The memorandum of the judicial complaint also included that “this lawsuit is being filed on behalf of the Palestinians due to the failure of Biden, his Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, and Secretary of Defense, Lloyd Austin, to commit to the responsibility of preventing genocide (in Gaza).”
The memorandum considered that the ongoing “genocide” in Gaza would not have occurred without the “open support” for Israel by Biden, Blinken, and Austin.
The memorandum pointed out that the United States, as “Israel’s close ally and the largest provider of military support,” has the tools and means that enable it to deter Tel Aviv and stop the “genocide” in Gaza.
The Israeli army has been waging a deadly war on Gaza for 40 days, during which it destroyed neighborhoods above the heads of their residents, leaving 11,240 Palestinians dead, including 4,630 children and 3,130 women, in addition to 29,000 injured, 70 percent of whom were children and women, according to official Palestinian sources on Monday evening.
