Israeli planes dropped leaflets warning the Syrian army against intelligence cooperation with the Lebanese Hezbollah near the town of Hader in the rural Quneitra Governorate in southern Syria.
According to local media, the leaflets included photos of a meeting with Syrian intelligence officer Samer Al-Dana and Tariq Maher, intelligence officer of “Hezbollah” in Syria.
Areas belonging to the Syrian regime and Lebanese Hezbollah militias in Quneitra were subjected to Israeli bombardment on Sunday.
Free Horan Gathering website reported that Israeli artillery targeted military points belonging to the regime forces and Hezbollah militia in the north of Qasr al-Nafl hill and north of the town of Hader in the Quneitra countryside.
The regime-linked Al-Watan newspaper, on the other hand, reported that the Israeli army targeted areas west of the town of Hader in the northern Quneitra countryside and the “Qurs Al-Nafl” area with 20 rockets.
The targeted “Qors al-Nafl” point is a surveillance and reconnaissance point close to the Israeli fence and has been targeted several times recently due to the deployment of Iranian and Hezbollah militias there.
