The governor of Aleppo, Hussein Diab, announced that tnumber of victims as a result of the earthquake in the areas under the control of the regime in the province amounted to 447 dead and 1057 injured, while rescue teams pulled 327 people from under the rubble.
Diab added that seven of the victims are still unidentified and have not yet been identified, indicating that 12 children have lost their families, and social institutions provide the required care for them.
Regarding the damaged buildings, Diab explained that the engineering committees examined about 24,000 buildings, including more than 5,300 in need of reinforcement, and 877 in need of demolition, in addition to 413 buildings that were destroyed by the earthquake.
The governor of Aleppo pointed out that there are about 11,000 families (more than 48,000 people) in 100 shelters, while 134 families live with their relatives, according to the loyal newspaper, Al-Watan.
Diab indicated that 3068 families left their homes for fear of their demolition, while 863 families left their homes because it was decided to demolish them, while 9712 families can return to their homes as they are intact
