Syrian regime forces launched a raid and arrest campaign targeting large numbers of civilians in the city of Al-Tal, in the western countryside of Damascus, on charges of criticizing the government and complaining about their living conditions.
A patrol from the Political Security Branch raided several shops in the Harna Al-Gharbia district of Al-Tal city, arresting 4 store owners.
The raid was accompanied by beatings and insults against the arrested persons, as well as obscene words.
According to a local source, the patrol took four people accused of criticizing and inciting the government, corruption and mismanagement to the Political Security Unit in the capital, Damascus, for questioning.
The source claimed that the arrest came after a security report submitted by one of the informants placed in public by the security forces, especially as poor living conditions and high prices were spoken on the street and became the first concern of the residents. in regime-controlled areas
It is worth noting that the regions controlled by the Syrian regime have witnessed a significant deterioration in economic and living conditions, an unprecedented rise in prices and the interruption of many essential supplies. This is despite the large amount of aid that reached the regime after the February 6 earthquake.
