As a result of the missiles fired from Syrian territory towards the Golan Heights, the Israeli army bombed the military zones belonging to the Syrian regime forces and Iranian militias in the southern region of Syria.
A military source for the Syrian regime said: “At around five o’clock on Sunday, the enemy of Israel launched a series of missiles from the direction of the occupied Syrian Golan and targeted parts of Syria. Southern District.”
The source claimed that the regime’s air defenses “intercepted the missiles of the aggression and shot down some of them”, adding that the attack caused some material losses.
This bombardment corresponded to three missiles launched by the Syrian regime and Iranian militias against Israel on Saturday evening, but none of them hit their target.
Israeli army spokesman Avichai Adraei stated that three rockets were fired from Syria to Israel, and one of the bullets crossed into Israeli territory and landed in an open area south of the Golan Heights.
Adraee said: An Israeli plane conducted raids targeting missile launchers used to launch missiles from inside Syria.
According to Adraei, Israeli warplanes raided other military targets, including a military compound belonging to the Fourth Division, in addition to radar and artillery areas belonging to the regime forces.
While the second missile fell on Jordan, the Jordanian army confirmed in a statement that it exploded in the air without causing loss of life and property in the “Aqrabah Valley” region adjacent to the Syrian border, and the third one landed in Syria.
According to Israel’s “Alma” headquarters, three missiles were launched from the Tel Jumaa area in Quneitra and it is not clear who was behind them, but said there were 30 Iranian militias in the area, including Islamic Jihad. The Golan File Unit and other groups collaborating with the axis are Shiite.
It is noteworthy that the Jerusalem Brigade militias claimed responsibility for the rocket attacks against Israel, and the following statements were included in the statement made by the pro-media: “The targeting of the occupied areas in the Golan is a response to the attacks against Al-Aqsa Mosque.”
