Last night, Israeli fighters carried out airstrikes at Aleppo Airport targeting the positions of the Syrian regime and Iranian militias, causing the airport to be out of service.
The regime’s “SANA” agency said, “On May 1, at around 23:35, an airstrike was carried out with missile explosions targeting Aleppo International Airport and some points around Aleppo from the southeast of the anti-Israel Aleppo.”
According to a military source, the attack resulted in the death of one soldier, the injury of seven soldiers, some material losses and the loss of Aleppo International Airport.
Facebook pages affiliated with the Syrian regime confirmed that 3 officers died in the raids carried out by Israel, emphasizing that all of them were air defense personnel.
Israel periodically raids the positions of the regime and Iranian militias in the Syrian provinces. Tel Aviv says its aim is to prevent Tehran from planting weapons on its northern borders.
It is worth noting that last Saturday, Israel bombed positions belonging to the Syrian regime and Lebanese Hezbollah in the Qusayr region in the southern countryside of Homs and at the Dabaa airport.
