This euphoria and schizophrenia of the Assad regime is matched by a reality that it has always jumped over. The country is torn apart by a number of occupations, and what destroyed it needs hundreds of billions of dollars to restore it, and its detention centers are teeming with thousands of detainees and forcibly disappeared, and more than half of Syria’s population are refugees inside and outside, and the country’s economy and infrastructure are in a state of near total destruction, and the penalties are proven by the laws of Caesar and the Captagon, and the debts are to the occupier (as a price). To survive) the state budget needs an entire century, and the system of power is nothing more than a gang that lives on the revenues of Captagon, and poverty is striking in Syria.
As long as the tyrannical regime was and still is obsessed with staying in power, it liked the illusion of benefiting the Syrian cause, as it finds itself safely living on the proceeds of the Captagon, and its incubator is becoming more submissive, and the country is emptying of its residents; Iran, Russia, and their militias are meddling with the demography and fate of Syria. The leaders of the Zionist entity are very happy, as there are those who are doing to Syria and its people what Israel has been unable to accomplish for decades.
The regime’s arrogance, delusion, and schizophrenia increased when global political forces seemed to be turning away from the Syrian issue, and the world’s preoccupation with the Ukrainian war, starting with the United Nations, whose envoy works at the whim of the system and its protectors by not naming things by their names and not revealing the Syrian regime’s responsibility for obstructing the political process. This situation will not last, because it may end the international organization itself.
In addition, the regime is under the illusion that America, which contented itself with pulling the strings of the bloody puppet theater from behind, and only asking it to “change its behaviour,” has turned its back on the Syrian cause. This is an additional illusion, as America may turn its back on any geography except for that strategically sensitive region.
As for the delusion of the tyrannical system towards its main enemy: the revolution, the refugees, the opposition, and the detainees, as it only sees in them a state of treachery, mercenaries, and collaborators; deeming the opposition scattered and preoccupied with inter-agency tensions and dependence on the outside (perhaps rightly so); And the revolution is a fleeting outburst that will soon subside, and the displaced are just fugitives, they left because of ISIS terrorism or because of mercenaries, and the detainees are nothing but traitors or terrorists; This “illusion” – and nothing else – will be the secret of the end of this system.Suddenly, the state of benefiting the Syrian cause, which the tyrannical regime liked, dissipates, and the issue is strongly present on the regional and international stage. However, the regime’s schizophrenia continues to see and interpret all the openings, visits, and easing of sanctions as mere acquiescence. that he is right; won; And the Arabs and the world return humiliated to him.
Those on the move to normalize themselves from this stalemate. And from the country’s scattering and scattering; Among the dilemmas of Iran within it, and Russia in Ukraine; from the coolness of the relationship with Washington (and perhaps out of spite); Among the stumbling blocks of the Syrian opposition and revolution are reasons, motives, and pretexts for engaging in the Syrian cause. Hence, and after they gave all kinds of arguments and pretexts, they believed that direct confrontation with those who take Syria hostage, while he is in his weakest condition under the weight of Caesar’s laws, Captagon, poverty, and alienation of the protector, is the correct approach.
The Syrians – the opposition, the revolution and the people – do not care about the continued schism of the tyrannical system. This is something they are used to; However, they are concerned that those seeking normalization fall into the same disease, because this has devastating consequences that destroy the rights of Syrians, and make those seeking normalization accomplices in the crime, even if they did not mean it. Reality and “political realism” say that it is impossible for Syria to return to what was before 2011, and the Assad regime is not the solution but rather the problem, and normalization with it is a necessary measure, and the Captagon tap will be closed once the law is put into effect within a few weeks. There is a disconnect from reality in reducing the Syrian people and their suffering for years to an opposition that failed to remove Assad and his criminal system. This failure is not limited to the misery of the opposition and its faltering performance. The printers cannot exclude themselves from that. The Syrians did not lead an opposition, and Assad was not in his current fragile state when their revolution was launched. Hence, considering it a fait accompli, and it must be dealt with, is nothing but a murderous replacement of a people.
There is a separation from reality by not seeing the impossibility of separating or separating the system of tyranny from the system of the mullahs of Tehran; one of them is a condition for the existence of the other; And you can’t remove one by sticking to the other, but by cutting off one, so that the other ends. In addition, international decisions are in your hands and stifling laws exist. These decisions should only be a road map and a condition for normalization, if you want to succeed through “political realism.” Realism requires a strategy far from illusions and self-deception and others.
There is a separation from reality if there is no real, honest and effective treatment for the dispersal of Syria under a number of occupations and militias, for the issue of detainees and forcibly disappeared in the gang’s detention centers, for the destruction of Syria that needs hundreds of billions to rebuild, for the penal laws and debts under which Syria suffers, and for the return of more than half of the Syrian population to their homes; And most importantly, starting from the fact that the one who caused all the above tragedies is the Assad regime of tyranny.
Otherwise, whoever normalizes is not only separated and far from reality, but rather does what he does with premeditation and determination, and thus becomes a partner in the crimes of the system, given that normalization legitimizes it and helps it evade legal responsibility for those crimes, enables it to escape punishment, and closes the door on No possibility of accounting. If the first fruits of the normalization steps were the forced uprooting of Syrian refugees in Lebanon, Hezbollah militias would have occupied their homes in Syria. So miserable, such poisonous steps.
It is known that the printers are very realistic about the interests of their country, and this is excellent, and a natural right for them; We do not allow ourselves to interfere with that; But when their approaches to our cause include something that harms the Syrians to the core, and deprives them of their rights, let them allow us to clarify this and reject it, and this is our right. The road map is carried by “Resolution 2254”, and it is in their hands; Let the Assad regime announce its commitment to its literal implementation, or at least, as a test, to allow an international inspection committee – even from countries seeking normalization – to visit its detention centers and submit a report on their condition and number.
