Syrian activists said that “Abu Dhabi TV” stopped showing the “Northern Circle” series on the pretext that it would cause strife, upon a request by the National Drama Committee in Syria.
The executives of “Abu Dhabi” TV, on the other hand, issued a statement before the start of Ramadan and confirmed that the broadcast of the series was postponed until after Ramadan due to technical and technological problems.
The producer of the series, Iyad Al-Khazour, declined to comment on the suspension decision, urging everyone to wait.
The events of the series take place in the nineties and eighties of the last century and examine some stories of corruption by one of the influential people to buy a popular neighborhood.
The piece was written by Hazem Suleiman, directed by Amer Fahd and represented by Fayez Kazak, Ahmed Al-Ahmad, Muhammad Hadaki, Abdel Moneim Amairi, as well as a number of other actors.
