US lawmakers have criticized President Joe Biden’s administration’s weak military response to the bombing, which targeted US bases in Syria with Iranian missiles and drones.
Iran’s bombing, considered “late and inadequate”, resulted in the death of one American and the injury of others.
“Biden owes Americans fighting extremists a strong response to any attack by Iranian proxies against them and their positions,” said Republican Senator Lindsey Graham.
Given that Biden and his national security team have “failed America”, he said in a tweet on “Twitter” that “it’s clear that the weak and vague response to the initial attack didn’t work.”
Representative Ernest N asked the following question on Twitter: “Iran’s proxies attacked the Americans about 80 times. What did President Biden do about it? They clung to Iran in hopes of reaching an illusory and flawed nuclear deal and failed to hit the Iranian regime.” where he hurt them.”
In response, Senator Tom Cotton assessed Biden’s retaliatory strikes as “too few and too late”, noting that “the US administration did not respond to many attacks from Iran’s proxies even before last Thursday’s drone strike.”
