The Times of Israel website revealed Israel’s concern over the growing Russian tone within the Security Council regarding Israel’s military operations in Syria.
On the site, an unnamed State Department official supported Moscow’s decision in the Security Council against him, coinciding with Tel Aviv selling defense military equipment to Kiev for the first time since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. It was reported that Israel said it was concerned.
He added that Israel does not expect to invite Russia to discuss this issue, adding that this amounts to “a calculated deterioration of Russia’s position vis-à-vis Israel.”
According to Israel “Channel 13”, at the request of Russia, the United Nations Security Council discussed the attacks in Syria attributed to Israel, a sign of the hardening of the rhetoric from Moscow to Tel Aviv.
According to the channel, the Russian representative called on the Security Council to stop the attacks on Syria, pointing out that Israel’s unilateral measures affect the entire region.
