French Hill, a member of the US House of Representatives, criticized President Joe Biden’s administration for being tolerant towards the Syrian regime and not taking any measures against the normalization processes with it.
This came in an interview with Hill when US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken appeared before the House of Representatives to speak about the priorities of US foreign policy around the world.
“The war crimes and crimes against humanity committed by the Assad regime, Russia and Iran are all known and unquestionable. More and more they are seeping into diplomatic circles,” Hill said.
Turning to Blinken, Hill said, “Mr. Secretary, does this administration support the normalization of relations with Assad?… Has it sent official diplomatic messages to countries seeking normalization with the Syrian regime to clarify America’s stance on this issue?”
He stressed that the continued normalization of the Arab movement with the Syrian regime was Washington’s “false messages”, and the foreign minister referred to the policy of the UAE, Bahrain, Algeria, Oman and Egypt, who recently visited Damascus.
He also stressed that the Captagon law should be implemented effectively in order to target, block and block the Syrian regime’s industry and trade in Captagon and its exports to the Gulf countries.
“Captagon is massively poisoning people in all Gulf countries, and that’s another reason why I don’t understand why some Gulf countries are normalizing relations with Assad. In February, we seized 350 drug shipments in the United Arab Emirates. 4.5 million pills were seized,” Hill said.
