The US Political Affairs Advisor to the United Nations Mission, John Kelly, revealed at the Security Council’s “Arria Formula” meeting that Russia misled the world about the Syrian regime’s chemical weapons file.
The US official added that Russia’s lie was not to persuade others to accept the pilgrimage, but to create suspicion and confusion.
At the meeting organized by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, hosted by Russia, Kelly pointed out that the facts were clear.
He pointed out that the investigation mechanism concluded that the Syrian regime was responsible for nine chemical attacks against civilians.
