Ahmed Al-Sawas, a member of the Craft Association for the Dairy and Cheese Industry, warned against the spread of the phenomenon of selling milk and cheese through mobile cars that stop in certain places close to the main streets and close to the markets with the beginning of Ramadan, which are sold at prices less than 100 percent lower than the market.
He pointed out that these yoghurts and cheeses, which are sold through mobile cars, are adulterated products that are not suitable for human consumption, and consist of powdered milk, starch and texture enhancers.
He mentioned that citizens buy these products because they are not aware of their ingredients and the percentage of adulteration in them, but after they try their taste and flavor, they do not buy them again, and there are others who buy them as a result of their inability to buy regular municipal cheese and labneh.
