Explaining that the normalization path between Turkey and the regime is long and the problems cannot be resolved in one or more negotiation rounds, he stated that Moscow will continue its efforts for a four-way meeting.
Expressing his optimism that positive results can be achieved in the meeting at the level of foreign ministers, Yevimov emphasized that progress was made in the negotiations step by step.
The four-way meeting at the level of deputy foreign ministers ended last week without any agreement. While the regime insists on guaranteeing Turkey to end its military presence and stop supporting Syrian opposition groups, Ankara has yet to show any sign of willingness. make concessions in favor of the regime.
